"KNIFE SKILLS FOR THE NEW YEAR" AGES 15+
Thursday, January 2nd 6:30-8:30 p.m. $49 per person
Let's focus on those knife skills and some delicious ways to use them! Participants will learn basic cuts including dices, julienne, mince, chiffonade, batonnet, and bias cut plus the proper way to cut onions, garlic, ginger, pineapple, avocado, tomatoes, and herbs. We will also discuss the different types of knives and sharpening. Bringing your own knives is optional, but encouraged. We will prepare:
- Asian Chicken & Kale Salad with Peanut Vinaigrette
- Hawaiian Salsa
- Chunky Guacamole served with Tortilla Chips

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received at least three days before the class starts will receive a class credit added to your account. If you need to cancel, please call (336) 324-3438. We are generally unable to offer credits for a class registration that is canceled within 3 days of the class because our instructors have already purchased ingredients on your behalf. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone else in your place, just let us know the person's name and contact information. Culinary U reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather, facility emergencies or failure to meet class registration minimums. If class is canceled, we will notify you by phone and email and you will be offered a full refund.
Take-out Food policy: Due to insurance restrictions, we do not allow students to take home leftover food (with the exception of certain baked goods.) Please enjoy your food in the studio!
